Storm Horizon [Waipu | New Zealand]
Took this shot back in 2008 on my old camera (Canon EOS 400D). I had been driving around all day taking pictures, and was about to turn around and head home, when I was stopped in my tracks by the mother of all clouds! I slammed my brakes on, zipped up my coat, and grabbed my camera gear one last time. I seem to recall almost having my tripod blown out of my hands - which probably goes some way to explaining the windswept appearance of the trees just to the left of the track...

Tempest Remains [Hokianga | New Zealand]
Another shot taken back in 2008 with my old Canon EOS 400D. After far too many days spent at work sat in front of a computer, I felt the need for the outdoors and lots of fresh air, so packed the car and headed up to one of my favourite places in New Zealand - Hokianga. I definitely got the dose of outdoors I was after thanks to lots of rain and an incoming storm. However these all combined to give me one of my favourite 'moody' pictures of the Hokianga Sand Bar.

Pauanui Lookout [Coromandel | New Zealand]
Taken at dusk along the Pauanui coastline during a weekend trip to the Coromandel.

Cape Reinga [Northland | New Zealand]
A shot of the famous Cape Reinga lighthouse from the New Year road trip - this time in profile against the cliff edge.

Lunar Blue [Muriwai | New Zealand]
One of the first shots I took in New Zealand. Still recovering from my long-haul flight from the UK, I headed north to the rugged and raw west coast to blow away the cobwebs at Muriwai. Have been back many times since - a truly stunning spot.
